The BI Developer is an experienced software engineer responsible for leading the discovery of hidden knowledge about a business with a global team. The BI Developer delves into the recesses of large data sets of structured, semi-structured and unstructured data to discover insight about a business and to develop methods to leverage that insight. This individual is the central point of contact for client technical issues and requirements. The BI Developer ensures proper training of the business intelligence team with regard to technologies and the context for specific projects.

Responsibilities
Work with Business Analysts and potentially business customers to verify requirements
Design/model tables to meet architectural requirements for dimensional/star schema and other modeling approaches
Construct mapping documents involving source and destination and extract/transform/load rules for the ETL
Qualifications
5+ years of experience working as a data modeler in business intelligence, analytics and Enterprise Data Warehousing environments
Extensive experience with Microsoft BI stack (SSIS SSRS and SSAS) strongly preferred
Strong experience developing with SQL
Experience with Kimball data warehouse design principles strongly preferred
Experience in analyzing data profiling, data mining, data cleansing, data content and translating data via rules from one database to another
Good amount of Experience with STAR Schema structures, theories, principles, and best practices, Data Governance, Data Quality Management, Metadata Management, and Conceptual and Logical Data Design.
Good to have experience with any modeling tool
Exposure in designing for Hadoop/Spark
Cloud applications and data security experience a plus
Background in data warehouse design (e.g. dimensional modeling) and data mining
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong analytical and organizational skills.
